The company’s common stock is listed on the New York and Chicago exchanges under the symbol “ETR.” The Entergy share price is reported daily in the financial press under “Entergy” in most listings of New York Stock Exchange securities. Entergy common stock is a component of the following indices: S&P 500, S&P Utilities Index, Philadelphia Utility Index and the NYSE Composite Index, among others.
As of Jan. 29, 2016, there were 179,071,731 shares of Entergy common stock outstanding. Shareholders of record totaled 28,602, and approximately 138,431 investors held Entergy stock in “street name” through a broker.
In May 2015, Entergy’s chief executive officer certified to the New York Stock Exchange that he was not aware of any violation of the NYSE corporate governance listing standards. Dividend Reinvestment/Stock Purchase
Entergy offers an automatic Dividend Reinvestment and Stock Purchase Plan administered by Wells Fargo Shareowner Services. The plan is designed to provide Entergy shareholders and other investors with a convenient and economical method to purchase shares of the company’s common stock. The plan also accommodates payments of up to $10,000 per month for the purchase of Entergy common shares. First-time investors may make an initial minimum purchase of $250. Direct Registration System
